What do they do with the Rockerfeller Christmas Tree?

Do they cut it into pieces or remove it in one piece? And then what...do they burn it?

It's cut up:

The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree produces 3 tons of mulch annually.

I've always thought that they put it in a really big storage room. Now I kinda think they cut it up into pieces. I don't think I'll ever know!
