I have just had a positive pregnancy test. I was completely flabbergasted. Although I am 5 days late, I have had absolutely no symptoms at all. When I was pregnant with my daughter, by the time I was due my period I already had sore breasts, chronic tiredness, nausea (I couldn't drink tea, coffee, any spicy foods, chocolate or diary products without feeling as though I was going to projectile vomit), bad temperedness etc. The reason I left it so long this time to take a hpt was because I felt absolutely fine. I just assumed that I was late because I have a chest infection and feel a little run down. Has anyone else had such completely different pregnancies? I'm thrilled to be pregnant but really worried because I feel so different this time round to my first pregnancy.

I felt great the first pregnancy. I didn't feel bad at all the entire time. With this pregnancy I felt really bad. My breast were sore before I tested positive and I thought it was PMS. I was really nauseated for 14 weeks and so tired all I could do was come home and sleep after work. I have read that some women have different experiences with each pregnancy. Good luck and congratulations.

I had two totally different pregnancies.
First one: I gained about 10 lbs by the end of the 1st trimester, was having to get maternity clothes by the 5 month mark, felt tired all the time.
Second: Gained only 3 lbs my 1st trimester, was wearing normal clothes (went one size up at some point) up until almost 7 months (then exploded, haha), didn't even feel like I was pregnant until the last few months..was never tired or anything.
The only thing that stayed the same was that I only got sick and actually threw up one time with each pregnancy.
I think its completely normal to have two totally different experiences.

Pregnancy symptoms vary not only from woman to woman but from pregnancy to pregnancy in the same woman. You may not have the same symptoms you had last time, or you may not feel them until later on. I can't tell you from personal experience because this is my first, but I'm reading What to Expect When You're Expecting, and it mentions a few times that it is perfectly fine not to have the same pregnancy symptoms as everyone else, or even as yourself in a previous pregnancy. It doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the baby. Good luck!

My last pregnancy was like that. I went to the Dr. with an infection and was shocked when I found out I was pregnant!! Never had any symptoms! It was wonderful, so don't worry. All three of my pregnancy's were different!

every body is different and every pregnancy is different. Could it be that you feel run down NOT because of a chest cold, but because you are tired from being pregnant? YOu won't have exactly the same symptoms each time you are pregnant.

Well I dont know about the different symptoms as I have only one son and we are tying for the last 4 years for another one. So every time I hear about someone getting pregnant I feel so happy for them. All I want to say is CONGRATULATIONS!

Old wives tale that being pregnant with a girl is tougher than being pregnant with a boy. I will say that when I was pregnant with my daughter, I was sick all the time but with my son only symptoms I had was being late and my boobs were sore.
