I was working at a dump health food store 4 years ago as a cashier, they made us mop the floor on our knees(never me!), clean sh@tty bathrooms, deal with snotty customers, clean shelves,stock groceries, and wash dishes. One customer had the nerve to ask me if I was going to retire there. I made like 6.50hr and got a .50 raise after being there for 2 years. Thank god I changed jobs and work at a nice software company for the past the 2yrs.

You know I think the worse retail job I had was working at a scrap booking store. The only reason that it was the worse was because it was family run so when it was the kids turn to work they didn't think that they had to clean up or do anything. I'd spend the whole day cleaning the store on Friday getting ready for Friday night crop night. I'd come in Saturday morning to pizza boxes everywhere, paper all over the floor, the bathroom a mess and I'd have to spend my whole shift Saturday cleaning. I finally said something and the owner was the one that told me that her daughters didn't get paid to clean up. I didn't stay too long there.

Been there...I used to work at a clothing department store, in the women's dressing room. People can be so inconsiderate, they through you the clothes that don't fit or leave them on the floor, and then b**ch about not having there size 6 when they are clearly pushing a size 12. And the bosses were worst, they would watch over your shoulders while you were at the register, complain you weren't doing it their way, when your way is better and more efficient. One customer complained when they brought in an ad that was a month old and why we didn't honor the sale...I try to explain to her that the add was old and no longer being used in the store. Don't get me started on all the clearance racks...people just through stuff everywere!!

I worked at Dollar Tree 3 weeks before Christmas! Worst move of my life!

I worked at KB toy store on black friday. It was the worst day of my life and my last day of work there. The store opened at like 4am and people were lined up outside waiting. I worked 18 hours that day. Never again.

To my eternal shame, I once worked for McDonalds. Funny though, I beat up a customer, set fire to the changing rooms and tried to dip my manager's head in the deep fat frier. They sacked me for turning up late two days in a row.

I used to work at Best Buy and it was a nightmare! Of all the jobs I've had it was the worst.
