I know there are many companies out there that participate in this. I would rather not send money to try and enrol. I have a god given talent to shop!

You don't buy things when you're a secret shopper. You engage the salesperson to see what they do and don't talk to you about. My store is subject to secret shoppers. They have a list of things that they check off that I'm supposed to talk about. Did I wear a name tag, did I mention this feature or that one, etc. You don't buy anything. If you do, you're not reimbursed. So...have fun with that.

Been there done that. The company I worked for had several jobs available posted online every day for my region. All I did was log in and select from the list of available jobs for that day. They did not pay much but, if the local Mcdonalds was on the list I would go in eat the value meal,grade them on the job and then send in my receipt and get reimbursed.
