I am looking to launch a unique and clever ad campaign for a lawyer who assists people in getting their social security and disability when they have been denied. I am looking for ideas for advertising besides the yellow pages and television ads. Something that will reach our clientel. Any creative suggestions?

I'm not sure why you want to avoid television and the yellow pages. Those two media are probably the best at reaching upper-middle-aged people, who are your most likely candidates. If you have a good radio station in your market that reaches that group and is affordable, that could work well for you.

Direct mail is good if you are sure you are hitting a high percentage of your target customers. The mailing list is the key. Make sure you invest in a good one.

A good web site and search marketing is something you should invest in, because it costs very little and can directly reach potential customers.

As far as unique and clever, the best source is your client's customers ... people for whom he has successfully litigated. If he has a lot of customers, he will surely have some unique and unusual cases that can be translated into strong customer stories and testimonials. People love a good story. Find some and tell them far and wide.

If your client is just getting started in the business, you need a different approach. Contact a local talk radio station and see if they want an hour-long show each week (free) where an attorney will answer legal questions on air. It's great publicity, and the audience will fit right in with your client's prospective customer group. Contact the local newspaper and see if they want a legal advice column. Start an online blog, and publicize it through Google's localized search marketing. People love free legal advice. Use it to help build a client base.

Starting out on the right foot is most important and staying in for the long run even better, i would suggest getting involved in your local united way campaign or agencies they are affiliated with the NFL. and most of the most solid business sand including the UAW unions, and anyone that involves themselves are treated with the utmost respect.
out of this will grow a business ethic that cannot be anything but be successful. It may take a little time ,
better success later than instant failure

Direct mail.

Build a good list in your target community. Develop a good short letter and let it rip.

Don't forget that a 1% return is considered good, so I would suggest a list of 10,000 to start.

Good luck.
