advice dear from someone who really cares
don't use them, they seem to bring in lower level entities

your cousin just passed Hun and I would wait a while before trying to contact him........as a matter of fact, you might be surprised to know that he may try and contact you first........
right now he is going through something similar to a brief hibernation, and then he will have to go through various processes until he is ready to begin learning on the other side and then teaching others.....during this time........you may receive visitations from him...........

the best way to contact someone, if you must, is either through pendulum dowsing, faerie boards, or home made boards.........
this is just my opinion of course

take care Hun..............

I had a similar experience to Kalee. When I was in college with a group of friends we used a ouija board. The girl who had the board was a practicing wiccan(not a devil worshipper) and made sure one window was open to keep the evil spirits away or give them an escape route out. When it was finally my turn to ask a question I started to say a silent prayer for protection while the arrow/pointer moved. The wiccan girl freaked out because the pointer had never acted the way it did what ever that meant. I never told anyone that I was praying right after asking my question she probably really would have gone off the deep end. I was convinced after that incident that one can attract spirit forces even with out a commericalized game board. I would not waste my time with the ouija board try a medium like kalee suggested.

Not that its any of my business but it sounds like you are trying to use the ouija board as a form of grieving over your cousin. I would ask family what happened to him first. I don't know if you are a spiritual person or not so don't take offense to what I am about to say further. You might want to just pray and talk to your cousin yourself, maybe even light a candle in his honor with some incense.

Peace-

Penn & Teller: BS have proven the Ouija Board as a fake. Before I get to why it's actually fake, how could they be real? Ouija boards are sold in the same aisle as Clue, Monopoly, etc. Now, the Ouija exert what is called the indemotor effect. The planchette moves due to subconscious twitches. This was proven when users of the board were blindfolded. Gibberish messages came out. When they were blindfolded AND it was upside down (they didn't know it was upside down), the planchette sometimes moved to blank spaces. I know that a lot of people do say you can get possessed and other creepy stuff, but I believe this is only if you let them in. Praying to God will not help because this is an inherently evil act (e.g. would God bless a murder?). I know spirits are real; though I've never seen one I saw someone get possessed, but thankfully it wasn't that serious. My best advice is not to get it. BURN IT! Seriously. Indemotor effect or not, burn it.

DO NOT USE AN OUIJA BOARD!!!! They are dangerous, you never know who you're talking to or who you're going to let into this world. It's like opening a door without looking through the peek hole or dialing a random number on the phone, you don't know who going to pick up. There are a lot of dark and evil forces out there and they are just to get through. And an Ouija Boards are the perfect way for them to get their foot in the door.
If you want to contect your cousin,God Rest her/his soul, use a median.

I think it would be to soon to contact; give them awhile to go through the "process". You have to realize that it seems to take time for people to become powerful/adjusted once they pass on. If you don't have any other way besides the board they you HAVE TO USE SOME KIND OF BANNING RITUAL. This is very important or else im 99% sure you wont be talking to your cousin! If you don't know one then ask your God or whatever you believe in to protect you and those around you. Make it clear that you only want to talk to your cousin and you don't want anyone else to come. Saying this will set a rule in place...I can't promise you someone will not break it bc "they" will from time to time but its A LOT better than nothing. Good Luck!

What you should do is, when you come back to Answers, put OUIJA BOARD into the search bar [where it says "Search for questions:"] and you will get plenty of hits. Read what others say have happened to them when they used ouija boards; some had nothing happen, and don't believe anything CAN happen, but others have had bad experiences, and will never touch another one.

Make up your own mind. [I personally would not screw around with it.]

Ouija, name comes from the french and german words for yes, oui and ja. its not really adviseable. Evil spirits pose as well meaning souls and can cause really bad things to happen... Go to a medium. keep away from the ouija board.

Oooh...
I wouldn't tamper with that stuff. It's not our place to.

And yes they are for real, in my opinion, which is based on personal experience.
I was at a sleep over and we shut off all the lights in the house and got out the ouija board. I was able to hear whispers that no one else was able to hear. If I held a rosary, it stopped. Creepy stuff. Haven't gone near one since.

Why not go to a medium instead? Much safer and more certain.

THIS IS A VERY TRUE STORY!
I once knew a girl who used a ouija board and attracted a demon to herself, when she asked a christian friend to pray for her, the demon left her and possessed her friend, needless to say it was very disturbing.
Moral of the story dont mess around with that stuff it is answered by demons

real? no some body always moves the pointer
sometimes they don't realize they are doing it but one or more people may exert more of a force than they realize, any "message" that be "received" are what the person exerting the most force wants to receive generally, but not always, the person that asked the question. it is just another case of people seeing or hearing what they want to
