how would i know if a ddr memory is compatible with my pc? im planning on upgrading i want to be sure its the same

Depending on you motherboard make model etc I would consult the following sites listed below to find memory that is compatible. I would also suggest you look at what is in you current system and try and math the make of DRAM chips is possible (not to important if you plan on replacing the memory completely!).
