I know you may not believe me, but the tale I am about to tell you is entirely true. I am a kind stranger from the past. My name is Stephen Johnson and I am from 1979. I am an undergraduate of MIT. On March 27 1979 I was walking to my dorm room from one of my classes when I discovered on my floor a note from a time traveler. He was from 2011 and working on his time machine. Somehow I was zapped into the machine and now I find myself in 2007, your present. I don't know just how else to explain it. I mean, it was such an amazing feeling. You can just imagine my excitement.
The thing is, when I arrived in 2007, I found myself in the same hallway, surrounded by the same familiar constructions and designs. I went into my dorm room and found it almost the same, except now there is a laptop on my table opened to this site
I want to thank you all for your understanding.
Now tell me, kind people of the future, what is the world like today? I see it is very different now than in my time.

If you are from 1979 how did you know what a laptop was? And the internet wasn't around then?
