I love it! Everyone I know loves it! Then again I go to a girls school so what can you expect? All the songs are so catchy. Also cos all the songs are quite similar-but not the same which gives it a really fun atmosphere. I love the dancing too-its really perfected and must of been hard to make.

High School Musical is in NO way a musical! The score and lyrics are the cheesiest excuses for music I have ever heard. The plot is so fake, and the character's voices are so pop-ish and messed with (thats not even zac efron's actual singing voice) And its not just a guy thing, I hate it as well and i'm a girl. This fake, phony, high-school "musical" craze will be over in a short while, just like everything similar before it. I mean, you don't see anything like "phantom of the opera" fade from the spotlight, do you?

It's okay. I like the songs, and it has some fun quotes, but it's getting more attention than it's worth. It's VERY unrealistic. In a real musical theatre audition they would want you to do more then sing, ESPECIALLY for the leads. You would have to act for them somehow, and most likely dance. And sophmores NEVER get leads in the school musical. Plus it was the basic plot of all Disney Channel movies. (person has something they like, they find something new, they have to choose, and they end up with the best of both)

I absoluely hate it. First of all, if you're going to fake voices, which you SHOULDN'T, make them sound good. Even their fake voices ere terrible. When the voices aren't natural, it's not a musical.
Secondly, everything that happens is so STUPID. If it's not some retarded cliche, then it's something that's just totally ridiculous. Ex: Wow! We met and liked eachother over Christmas vacation in Colorado (or w/e)! Now we go to the same High School in New Mexico! Plus, we just happen to be great singers (YEAH RIGHT!!).

its ok, but i think that is not what musical theater is all about. It has nothing to do with what a musical is ment, and supposed to be. I do watch it, yes it is interesting and has catchy tunes, i wouldn't call it a true musical. That's just my opinion!

high school musical is cheesy and over rated. what happnend in hsm would neva happen in real life!!!! i like the stars in it ( ZAC I LUUUUUUUUUUUUUUV U!!!!!) check out a different movie before u get obsesed!!!!

well- i h8 it so much that me and my mate did two things: started a petition at our school to make sure anyone caught singing one of the songs was given detention-that didn't work.
but we did create 'we h8 hsm' pages on our piczos and quite a lot of people have taken the pledge to reject hsm and any of its future and present works.

love it. coz i can sing along with the words. but i think there should be another part to the film. coz it was just the auditions.
