Clock for Clock, the dual core AMD64 is about 20% slower than the Core Duo.

I think in the past AMD processors worked out faster than intel but in the case of 64X2 supposedly the intel chips are better.

I have the AMD and not had any problems with it.

It's a bit slower. The AMD also tends to get hotter than the Duo Core :(
