I see here are saying that the pc world usb cable is of better standard well from experience i was forced to pay 15.00 for a 1M crossover cable in pc world and could have got the the same product on ebuyer for 50p now you say that its a better quality product on pcworld well not true for 2 reasons
1. all ethernet cables have to be of a standard quality to get the rating
2. i could understad if it was a primium product i was buying like gold plated conectors but it was a bog standard cable.
3. you can go to pc world and pay over twice the price for products like SD memory and get the excact sam make and model on ebuyer for a fraction of the price.
I hate pcworld so much i can remember one day standing in pc world looking at a pc when a customer came in and ask about buying a pc. when the salesman asked what it was for they said for word processing and a bit of surfing the net.
He then advised them to buy a near top end mutimedia pc the could do everything but make the tea saying that they would need this to run office fully. what crap. its like watch athur daley sell you a second hand car

Oh yeah. I was stunned to see them charging EUR15 for a USB cable when there was an identical one for sale in Tesco for about a fiver.
PC World is geared towards people who aren't the most technically savvy in the world and like/need a shop assistant to help them with buying their computers and accessories. It's safe to say most people who buy cables in PC World wouldn't feel confident enough to go onto a site like Ebuyer to buy the same cable.
Bottom line is, if PC World can sell things like USB cables at exorbitant prices, they'll keep doing it :(

I completely agree with you. They seem to massively over charge for small things like cables. I was in the unfortunate position when I really needed an ethernet cable on a sunday, but my normal independent retailer wasn't open, so I popped to PC world thinking that i probably wouldn't have to pay much more for the cable.. but it was £14.99 too!!! it would have only cost 99p from the other shop.. i couldn't believe it!!

I'm not great fan of PCW
But Ebuyer USB cable sounds like it will be of poo quality
Image the TESCO brand VALUE or ASDA smart price - products taste like Poo
Believe me any USB > scart > audio leads > buy a poor quality one and you will have a poor quality result
There maybe a cheaper price out there for the same one PCW are flogging
DON'T go for inferior quality you will pay for it in the end

Ever observed that usually this is all-American Rejects and each so often the hyphen isn't there, however the awfulness isn't affected. Hmm. ok, right this is my test: Jo! Nas! Bro! Thers! Nope, whilst quickly as I separate each and each syllable with an exclamation element, they suck. i don't be attentive to the thank you to insert them into textual content fabric on right here, yet perhaps if we positioned those little dot issues over the O's (like motley crue or blue oyster cult) they might advance some.

Hey smarty pants - just look at the accounts of PC World and see they have made zilch profit last year. Now look at Ebuyer and they have made even less. Soon they will all be out of business - then where do you go to buy your toys?

High prices AND poor customer service!!! The PC in PC World must stand for "Past Caring" if that's the attitude.
