Hi, we were in Sharm 2 years ago and rather than go on the tour bus from the hotel or organized trip we spoke to the hotel reception at the holiday inn and they got in touch with a guy who was like a taxi, bu not the usual sharm taxis!! it was a people carrier that seated 8,@ it was air conditioned which is a must, before you set off make sure its working, so the 4 of us hired it, it worked out cheaper than going on the (bus tour), it meant we left the hotel at 3am for a 5 hr drive to cairo with a stop off for tea or whatever .we picked up a personal courier in Cairo who took us to the Sheridan Hotel for brekkie, this was optional and we had to pay for it but it wasnt expensive and we had chance for a wash etc in decent toilets then on to the pyramids ( the entrance tickets were included in the price of the taxi) which are awesome then we went to the sphinx and after that we had an option of the perfume place, the papyrus place and the market, by this time we were shattered and hungry so we just did the perfume place then included was lunch in a lovely restaurant overlooking the nile, then we went to a bazaar shop kind of thing that was boring, by this time it was about 5 or 6 so we dropped of the courier and headed back to sharm and with there only being 4 in the people carrier we were able to drop the seats and sleep we got back about midnight absolutely shattered but we wouldnt have missed it for the world, oh i nearly forgot we also went to the citadel which was out of this world and the view over the whole of cairo is unbelievable, its a crazy city your in the middle of the city and you turn a corner and the pyramids are there right in front of you, i always imagined them to be in the middle of nowhere but they arent, anyway, all that little lot cost us £45 each and we paid the speeding fine the driver got in the middle of the dessert at 10.30pm, bearing in mind we,d been driving for about an hour an not seen another car, but when we got to to sharm boundery the police pulled us, but it was only £20, if you go on the organized trips you have to pay more and your crammed in a bus with another god knows how many people all sharing 1 toilet and just doing the tourist route , like sheep to the slaughter, having to be at a certain place at a certain time and going to places you dont really want to go, the prices will have increased a bit i suppose but they are well into bartering. another good place to go to is mount sineai and see the burning bush and st. catherines monastery then have a dip in the healing waters, but watch what you eat and check the water bottles they serve havent been opened! p.s. take immodium with you and the first sign of the fatal deli beli get to a pharmasist they have wonderful stuff over there. The Hard Rock Cafe is great food then after midnight the music rocks, the camel bar is good and if your into a chilled out evening go for a walk down the back of the shopping precinct by the beach and try the cocktails at the Hilton, they are to die for theres some good restaurants down there too, have a great time, i,ll go back there some day, the diving is unbelievable.

Cairo could be the capital of Egypt and one of many biggest cities in Africa and the Middle East and a good place to see; discover more with hotelbye . On the Nile stream, Cairo is famous for a unique history, maintained in the fabulous old Islamic town and Coptic sites in Old Cairo. The Egyptian Museum in the center of city is vital see, with its countless Ancient Egyptian artefacts since no visit to Cairo will be complete with out a stop by at the Giza Pyramids, and to the regional Saqqara Pyramid Complex. In Cairo you can see: The Pyramid of Cheops (also called the Great Pyramid or Pyramid of Khufu), the biggest pyramid of the Giza class, and their inside of thin passages can be investigated, though there isn't significantly to see, except an ordinary tomb chamber with an clear sarcophagus. Directly behind the Great Pyramid may be the Solar Vessel Museum, which displays one of the ceremonial solar barques uncovered in your community that has been carefully repaired to its original glory. More south on the plateau may be the Pyramid of Chephren (also known as the Pyramid of Khefre), that has an interior tube area that may be entered.

who telling about visa require is not true, cause if you are already in Sharm Elshiekh that mean u have visa already and this visa last for 1 month, u have 3 options to go visit Cairo, by flight and it is the more expensive one and then over land in that way u can catch the public transportation, or have private car. if you need any arrangements you can contact back and we can manage it for you. or any more info u can mail me any time.

egyptair have flights out early in the morning and return in the evening. cost is 102 GBP on expedia. a taxi will set you back 300 USD but that will include the cairo museum etc. When you arrive in Sharm buy a visa for 15USD or 10GBP and then you are free to do what you want viz. leaving sinai penisula.

You can either go by coach by booking in resort or fly. Usually you can pre book the flight option before you go, but speaking to a proper rep from a reputable travel company is the best way to make sure you will be travelling safely. Also if you take the coach you stay overnight and get to watch a sound and light show. The flight is just for one day.

I am afraid you will have to go across the country on one of the organised trips as visas will be required because you will be going outside the Sinia Peninsula. Alternatively you can fly on one of the organised trips. The cross country method is long. The plane is obviously quicker but either way, and I have done both, unless you are a real heritage freak it is hardly worth all the time, bother and expense.

certain it would properly be executed in a unmarried day, that is likewise conceivable to do it by technique of taxi yet i really does no longer recommend it it takes about 4 hours each and every way. yet a flight is very short decrease than an hour each and every way. notwithstanding because the guy above recommends 2 days might want to be maximum acceptable.it would want to provide you with extra time to work out the pyramids, the museum and somewhat time to work out cairo as well
