I'm in San Diego my favorite restaurant is Anthony's Im not a fish lover but I like the shore combo where you get a litlle bit of halibut, salmon and sole. Don't forget the red clam chowder it's delicious. It's about the only place I will eat fish. The other good place is The Old Spaghetti Factory it is so good and affordable. The manager's favorite where you can combine two sauces like meatsauce and mithithra cheese is great. You get salad and your dessert included and great bread. Hope this helps.

Something new and exciting? Have you tried the Vietnamese eateries? You'll find many bakeries with nice finger foods you can take and run. Many of these items are appealing even to Americans.

Look for the steamed sausage buns or the barbequed pork buns. How about their fried spring rolls ... finger-licking good. Try their "summer rolls," too. Just dip them in the sweetened peanut sauce and if you like spicy dishes, just add some hot pepper sauce and you'll be halfway to heaven.

Also, their delis offer many ready-to-go dishes that are interesting, tasty, and inexpensive, too.

Among Vietnamese dishes, the most popular item is their beef noodle soup called "Pho." Visit a shop featuring Pho and you'll see you can even select the cuts of meat you'd like included in your bowl. Please try the plate of greens and sprouts they'll take to your table.

The link below gives the names and a thorough description of a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes. So, if you're in L.A., you won't suffer from limited choices. Good luck.

French Quarter on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood (corner of Laurel Avenue). I love the pot roast dinner, but I HAVE TO HAVE the French Onion Soup every time I go there, even if it is 100 degrees in August!

Their Chinese Chicken Salad is good as well! They have a great combo of soup and sald for under 10 bucks, and the salads are huge! So, I would recommend getting the French Onion Soup and Chinese Chicken Salad.

French Quarter Restaurant
7985 Santa Monica Boulevard
West Hollywood, CA 90046

No reservations necessary, but it is a busy restuarant, so expect a little bit of a wait. Highly recommend!

My favorite place in Lalaland is Toi Thai food.

It is sooo good and pretty cheap. They do brown rice like nobody else. At night (actually more of at prebreakfast) the crowd can be pretty rock and roll, but you can go for lunch do and dine at the fabulous food at low prices.

Else where, you cant go wrong with Pizza from Punch in St Paul Minnesota.

There are two places.
Maggianno's Little Italy. They have the best spaghetti and meatballs and killer chocolate mousse cake.

The other one which I love is Jason's Deli. I crazy about their ham muffelettas and their potato salad is the best anywhere.
