Why did black stop fighting for civil rights? Just because a few athletes and entertainers are millionaires, have they been fooled into thinking America is derived of a "level playing field"?

Oh come on, stop playing the race card. You really need to start watching Dave Chapelle on Comedy Central. He'll set you straight.

How did Condi Rice get to her position in government if the playing field isn't level?

In some cases, the playing field decisively favors minorities. I worked with some minorities who were abysmal workers, but the company dared not touch them because of the legal headaches. So, while everyone else was expected to do a stellar job day in and day out, they were given a free pass.

Gimme a break!

The playing field is unlevel for all. If you fail to elevate yourself to your potential, it is your own fault and not societies. I may be a white male American, but nobody gave me anything and I did not come from a well to do family. I paid for my college education by working a full time job while going to school. I worked 2 jobs for many many years to make sure that I could afford to live in an area that had better schools for my 6 kids. I did without to save for the home I live in. I now work 60 plus hours a week to afford the things that give my life some pleasure.

Nobodies civil rights are being taken away, trampled on or anything else. There was a time when this was true. Minorities had to struggle and fight for everything they had. Today, it is there for the taking, if you are willing to work hard enough and have enough heart to go after it.

Sold out, some say, others don't believe that people of color have things uneven, we have a similar dtuggle with anti Indian prejudice, and we had treaties! Of course until the case of Standing Bear vs Crook we weren't considered human beings and had no right to habeas corpus, until the Native American Relegious Freedom act of 1971 we weren't allowed to hold our cermonies, we did in secret. People of color have a long way to go still. Yes its better than the 50s or 60s but that isnt saying anything

Black people have rights. Some just don't know how to use them. Instead of some black people wanting to go to school and getting an education, (which alot of people fought for black people to have) they just think that they can make it if they are a rapper or an athlete.

How many rappers and black athlete's have their college education?
