The show starts off with Preston, Meredith, Derek and Cristina having dinner together. preston and Cristina are still not speaking to one another nor is he feeding her til she speaks to him. It is brought up that he was offered the chief's job and that sets Derek to thinking, why not me. Preston does not want the job at this moment and Cristina feels he blames her for losing the job.
The next Morning Meredith and Derek breifly talk about this conversation and him being chief. In the hallway, Callie running for her life as an oversexed George wants to have sex for the fourth time that morning and she tells Izzie that he is hers now to take care of. Izzie brings George a tray filled with baked mufins and he opens the door looking for Callie wearing nothing buthis high intention.
Later when they get to work Izzie is in the locker room asking the other interns for help with George because she is not capapble of handling this problem alone and George is using sex to make up for his lost father. They all want out of it but she points out that her losing Denny trumps all their minor problems.
Mean while Addison is trying to avoid Alex who is trying to talk to her about the kiss. For him it was just a kiss but for her it was something she will have to deal with.
Later Mark is making Alex and Meredith treat a patient's bed sores because he likes nurses and hates them and becasue he plans on this being his last patient.
In another room Izzie and George are asking Addison what is up. She is thinking they are talking about Alex. Instead they were wondering what she wanted them for. It turns out that she wanted them to see a patient for a gynecological exam. The problem is that the girl has a tumor on her ovary. She makes George take a look at it too.
Down in the emergency room Callie and Cristina are working on a runner who dehydrated himself with the flue and then tripped dislocating his knee. Callie snaps it back in place. As she is talking to Cristina, Callie is asking for help with George and Cristina and Callie are knowing they really don't like each other much so they shouldn't be asking favors of one another.
George is seeing Callie in the hallway and she is hiding from the sex monster. Izzie is trying to steer George away from her.
Meanwhile Miranda is after a well dressed Chief trying to get him to help her start a free clinic. He tells her to get doctors to sign off on it and she will have to get funding. She wants his help but he is busy.
Derek is trying to get to talk to the chief as well , wanting to be chief. Bailey tries to get him to help her with the clinic but all he does is tell her she needs an attending and she need funding as well. He does not want to be the attending.
the girl with the tumor and her friend are waiting to find out the situation with her tumor which is so large that they are going to have to open her up. Their is talk about sending for the girl's parents but the friend says no. Amazingly the parents show up and they ar Ammish. They are not allowed to talk to the friend because she has been shunned for leaving the church after being baptized. The daughter was not baptized. the question is who sent for them. The answer is the daughter and before she went to the hospital. She wants to die Ammish but she also wants to be with her friend.
Down in Emergency the runner's legs have swollen up and Cristina calls for Callie to help. Callie tells her to do exactly what she does and they proceed to cut the man's legs to let the blood flow. Richard sees what is going on and gets involved as the surgeon to save the man's legs.
Elsewhere, Derek is wondering what caused Addison to come to the hospital, was she offered chief? She is wondering why and finding out that the job is up for grabs.
Back with Mark Meredith is talking about him leaving because Seattle hates him and he is also learning that Derek is after the chif'e job. Now he wants it.
The ammish girl has her exploratory and Addison, Izzie, and George are present when it is learned the the cancer is stage four, spread everywhere like George's father. He has to leave at that point.
Later, Preston pops his head in on Cristina, Meredith and Alex with the patient with the bed sores and he tempts Cristina with a surgery by asking the to explain a surgery to him and whoever gets it first gets to scrub in. She knows the answer but says nothing. They know nothing and miss out. Preston leaves and Cristina chastises them for not speaking up.
Alex finally gets to tell Addison that he does not want to be like all the other interns and that he really is tired of Mark and wants to help her in Surgery.
Mark runs into Derek and tells him that he is not going and that he is going after the Chief's job. He mentions Meredith told him about the job.
Bailey is trying to get Burke to help her with her clinic but he doesn't want to do it. She is telling him he owes her for lying to her all this time about the surgeries. he made her feel she had lost it. Preston does not want to be the attending.
Derek is upset with Meredith because he had Mark out of there and now he is going to stay and fight for the Chief's job
Izzie and George talk about the girl and his father and the sex and he is saying he needs the sex to feel good. Izzie realizes that she can't help him with this probelm. They hug but she has to let him go his own way.
In the surgery on the man Callie and Cristina realize they are good at what they do, a shared interest. That leads to a talk anbout George but it is short lived. The Chief is only concerned with the patient and his legs. Richard tells Yang that the ting about surgery and medicine is that you have to be willing to go the distance in all you do.
Izzie is pointing out to the Amish girl's friend that she had to have sent for her parents a while back. The girl wants to help. Izzie tells her this is too much for one person, she has to let her go to be a good friend.
Out in the attrium all of the Attendings are mulling around as if to ambush the chief the next time they see him to ask to be chief, even Preston. He is telling the that he has asked to retire but that the board will chose a replacement as of this point he has no selection of his own. Bailey catches wind of this and is heartbroken
Bailey catches the chief and asks if it is true and he tells her yes. She wonders when he was going to tell her and why he let her pursue the clinic. He told her he sees her one day as chief. This is how she can get some experience.
In the Ammish girl's room her friend is telling her she needs to be with her parents and to go home. The girl says he will not leave her. the friend says she has to. The mother talks to the friend saying she will tell the girl's mother that she has a beautiful daughter out there.
Back with the Attendings Bailey hand each of them a set of papers and tells all four of them to sign them. They all sign them and now Bailey has her doctors. Now all she needs is the funding.
Later Bailey runs into Izzie and is wondering how things are going , seeing that George looks a bit off. Izzie is saying thins are okay and wondering how things are going with her. She mentions she has her endorsements and now all she needs is the money. It isn't long before Izzie tells her anbout the Denny Duquette Memorial Free Clinic. She says, I have 8 million dollars and you have a good thing I can do with it. Bailey is speechless but knows this is right.
Richard goes to his house to tell his wife Adele that he retired and she tells him he is a month too late. He figures it out, she has another man in the house.
Later that night Meredith and Derek were talking and she was wondering why. Derek told her even when he is upset with her he will always be there for her. She should never think otherwise.
At Preston's place they are eating chinese food an Cristina breaks down and tells Burke he wins and she intend to go the distance in their relationship. He is impressed and asks her to marry him.
Then, at Callies George it trying to talk to her and all she is thinking is I am not ready to have sex again. He tells her he is not after sex but he is after her. He gets down on a knee and pulls out a ring and asks her to marry him as well.

George is having sex like crazy with Callie and she can't take it anymore (too much). Mc Steamy is saying he's leaving but when he hears from Grey that the chief is retiring he decides to stay much to the dismay of many. Mc Dreamy gets mad at Grey for having said anything. Burke, Mc Dreamy, Mc Steamy and Allison are all interested in being the next chief and they all run to the chief's office and wait for him. When he arrives he scolds them all and makes 'em leave. Then he focuses his attention on the Nazi, hinting she'll be the next chief. Dr. Bailey is trying to start a free clinic and needs support from several people which she struggles with. Izzie might give money to start it because they need funding. Allison is avoiding Karev, who keeps kind of chasing her around the hospital and finally pulls her into a closet and tells her she probably is avoiding him because she thinks he wanted the kiss and he tells her he's not interested so she stops avoiding him.
There is a patient, a young woman who is there with her best friend & it turns out she's got a tumor. Turns out they left their community of Amish people and because the friend had already been baptized she was shunned but the sick girl hadn't been baptized so she could return if she wanted to. She calls her parents (apparently they haven't seen each other in a long time) and she decides she will return. But it looks like she's going to die soon.
Some athlete who was in a marathon had fainted so is taken to the hospital where he gets worse and Callie has to cut his leg open while awake and then he goes into emergency surgery. He was dehydrated and had taken aspirin which apparently was bad. I think he recovers.
The chief goes to his wife's house with flowers, whom he separated from months ago, to tell her he is going to retire after all and she says it's too late and he realizes there's a man in the house and she slams the door. George kind of faces his need for sex due to the loss of his father.
Mc Dreamy and Grey are at Burke's having dinner and Burke and Cristina still aren't talking to each other. Cristina finally talks to Burke later in the show and tells him 'you win' and he asks her to marry him. George asks Callie to marry him.

The chief retired and went to make up with his wife but she had a man there and said it was too late. Burke asked Christine to marry him after she talked to him. George tried to get over his Dad's death by having a lot of sex with Cali who was freaking out. Then he asked her to marry him too. Ummmm-name? Short, black Mom surgeon wants to open a free clinic, gets the signatures she needs, and then izzy said "Well I have 8 million dollars". Mcdreamy, Mont-Sheperd, Mcsteamy, and Burke are all chomping at the bit for the chief's position, but the chief said eventually it will be the one who's name I can't think of (and I LOVE her too). Anyway, that's about it. Mcsteamy was going to leave and that made all happy until he found out about the opening of the chief's position. Mcdreamy told Meredith he would always come home, whether they had a fight or not. No proposal on that one though.

It is on again tonight at 8:00, but if you can't watch it, Miss Mackenzie gave a pretty accurate description, except for the cheif asking bailey. He said that he knows she'll be cheif, but she is not ready yet (she is only a resident not an attending.) and one of those 4 (Derek, Mark, Burke, or Addison) will have to be cheif for a couple of years.

Dr. Dreamys sister flew in to check on him and Meredith thought they were about to have sex. He told her he needed a week to think about things. Cristina is helping her boyfriend do all of his surgeries and scheduling his operations. Izzy is back but not allowed to do much,she feels everything has changed and is uncomfortable. George is trying to get back with his Ex and she slept with MCdreamys bestfriend. The repeat is on tonight on Channel 9 at 7PM. Also if you miss an episode you can watch it on ABC.COM for free!!

I missed it as well yesterday, but it comes on again tonight. I dont know where you live but I live in Texas and it is repeating tonight and usually repeats every Friday night. If you go to My Yahoo and then to Yahoo TV, you can catch up on snippets and upcoming shows, not only Grey's but anything you like to watch but may have missed.

Well, Callie and George are back in the sack. Christina and Burke are finally talking (she caved in) and he proposes marriage. Meredith and Derek get into a little spat, but make up in the end. George proposes marriage to Callie. Miranda is talking about opening up a free clinic (and I think Izzie is going to donate her money to get it started). Also, Dr. Webber is talking about appointing the chief position to Miranda.

Yeah he retired but I think he will be back because his wife didnt want him and that was the only reason he retired. Oh, and 2 couples got asked to get married.

You can re watch it 2night on ABC I missed half of it so I will be tuned in also or you can go to abc.com and watch it on line with no commercials!
