YES!! And it seems that each year flies by even quicker than the last. Time goes by in such a blur that I can't even comprehend it sometimes... And then I realize... It's frickin' almost February already! It was JUST SUMMER. And then it was JUST CHRISTMAS, and so on.
What I find really interesting is that it's time in the big picture that goes by so quickly. The hours, days, and weeks seem to drag, but the months and years are gone before I know it.
It's REALLY scary to think that it'll just keep going faster and faster the older we get! When you're a child, time seems... limitless.
I could go on and on but I'll stop here... ;-)

Yum mentioned this to me, and I have actually discussed this before. Thinking that time actually does move more quickly as we get older is obviously just plain silly, HOWEVER, scientists suggest that the way your brain works may make it seem as though it does. And we all know that the most important thing in how you perceive things is your brain...the only thing, actually. From birth your brain has no memories or experiences stored inside of it. So each day is a marathon of new ideas, experiences, and thoughts. As we get older, not only are our days filled with more and more routine activities that allow our brain to "tune out" if you will, but we have experienced so much time on the planet, that each day now seems less and less relevant, less and less consequential, less and less unique or extraordinary; therefore less and less noteworthy. If you think about it, it makes sense. Think about how your brain would register your first day on this planet with no other days by which to reference it. Then think about a day for a 55 year old, with seemingly endless days before this one day, to make it seem so inconsequential. Consequently, it seems like the days just freaking fly by as we get older. And yeah YumYum, I have dirt under my shoes that is younger than you.;-)

No it's not passing fast we are just too busy to take note of time and when we actually do stop to acknowledge the time... that is when we realize just how much time has passed since we last took time to really enjoy our life.
But ya otherwise it feels like it's quickly passing by.
