my mother is paralyzed and has been for almost a year now. do you think when she goes to heaven, she'll be able to walk again?

Thank you for all the great and inspirational answers. My mom has been through so much pain in the past year. The doctors used to say when someone goes paralyzed, it is as if a person has died...which is true. My mother is still here with us, thank god, but she is never really all there anymore. It's nice to know she will be free of pain when her time comes, god forbid.

So sorry about your mom. Don't worry - when her time comes to go to heaven, I believe (as do a lot of people) she'll be pain free and able to walk, fly, run - whatever makes her happy. Here's a verse from a beautiful Christmas song, Mary Did You Know that speaks of it:
Oh Mary did you know?
The blind will see, the deaf will hear
the dead will live again.
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak...

Think of her as a caterpillar. Right now she is in her cocoon, transforming. As soon as she goes through it, she will come out the other side more beautiful than ever. And she doesn't have to die to do it. Even though she may not be able to walk, she can transform herself into a new being. She just has to make a new normal. Be patient.

The bible says that when you go to heaven, you are given a perfect body. So, yes. She'll be able to walk in heaven.

Of course she will.

That is, if she is going to heaven. I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but You don't get into heaven just by being a good person.

Jesus. That's the way. At least thats what I believe.

But assuming she has that base covered, trully, then yes, she will walk again.

I think that for those that believe in heaven, that will be one of the many benefits - those that are paralyzed will no longer be, the blind will be able to see/the deaf hear, etc.

I believe God restores all we've lost in this life when we get to heaven - whether it be health, wealth, confidence, whatever! Yes, I believe your mother will definitely walk in heaven.

OF COURSE SHE WILL!!! and she will do much more than that, she will have a pair of legs to dance, 2 wings to fly, and do whatever her heart desires. Don't worry, God has a good place reserved just for your mom in Heaven. =D

It is my belief that when we go to heaven, we get a perfect body-It is my feeling that we will not be confined to a body. So I am thinking it will not be an issue for your mother when she leaves this world, if, in fact, her final destination is heaven.

Sorry to hear about your mom, I believe that when we leave our bodies and make it to heaven then we will be whole again, the blind will see, the crippled will walk, the deaf will hear. But everyone has different beliefs, that is just mine.

One of the greatest privileges we have is to create our own mind and our way of thinking. You can believe what you wish without going to any church or temple. Some Church's prey on the health needs of people that need real life treatment.
