And I don't just mean in the financial sence. Are you happy were you are? Who you are? What you do? Is it fullfilling?

Finally, after several years - yes! I love my career because I get to be exactly who I am and want to be and I am respected and paid very nicely for it. Plus, I'm having a great time!

I am a clinical psychologist. Currently I do not practice, I quit in September of 05 per Dr's orders {I was high risk pregnancy}. And I will NOT go back. Financially I was happy, when I did my internship I was happy, first year I was happy. Then it just didn't feel as if it was so rewarding anymore. I practiced for 12 years. I am happier now though I do miss some of my fellow colleagues. I grew to hate, yes I said HATE my patients and that is when I realized it was time to quit but I stayed because I couldn't dream of not doing it. Thank goodness my pregnancy give me a reason to quit.

I loved being a teacher and seeing the light in a student's face when they "got it". I still very much enjoy interacting with the handicapped adults I see every week and helping people where I work. Neither career pays well, but I don't work to get rich. I never made a dime from adopting 2 kids, but get paid in love constantly.

Most of my jobs have been. I spent 10 years working in multi-media development, building computer-based training programs and museum displays to help educate people before I burned out. It is a total rush to step into the Smithsonian Mail Museum or Native American Museum and see kiosks that I programmed on there with people learning thing from them!!

Now, I work for the Family Court, helping people with their family problems. It has its downside, of course, but overall I am able to help people deal with their problems, so that makes me feel good about what I do.

Thanks for asking!

I work with children all day (counseling). About three quarters of them fight, swear, and refuse to follow directions. There is absolutely no fear and no respect (2 things that might someday save their lives). I used to love what I do. But now, I just do it because I have to. I will change professions as soon as I find my way. Oh, by the way, I have been doing this for about 15 years.

I've been a service advisor in the car business for 20+ years. I now hate people - how ironic. I should have worked with animals - less complaints, more sense !

My career is very rewarding. I wouldn't have done it for so long if it wasn't.
