A gentle arch is better. A strong, high arch will emphasize the length of your face.

Now a days.. natural is very in! But for the first time.. I would have them done so you can see how they shape them. It will be easier for you to follow after that. If not.. then if you take something like a pencil.. hold it slanted at one side of the nose by the nostril.. and angle it up towards your eyebrow in the middle of your eye.. that is where a small arch should be. Then the same goes for where the eyebrow ends. Hold the pencil again by your right or left nostril and angle it towards the outer corner of your eye... and that is where your eyebrow should end :) I know that sounds crazy but it works.. and www.cosmopolitan.com has tips for eyebrows :) Good Luck!
