> Could we clone Dodo bird?
Possibly. At some time in the future, we may have the technology to retrieve and analyze the fragments of DNA within the preserved skins, feathers, and bones of dodos that we have. Then these would be made into chromosomes, and placed into a suitable egg -- perhaps a turkey egg.
Sort of like Jurassic Park, but newer.

> So shoud we feel obligated to some way bring back the Dodo bird.
Not particularly. It's a shame the dodo is gone. I'm more concerned about the Passenger pigeon. There were two billion of them. We still don't know what effect removing them will have on the forests where they lived.

> why should we bring back the Dodo bird
1. It'd probably be a commercially viable alternative to turkey meat.
2. Initially, zoos would have reconstructed dodos. For a while, they'd be great attractions. I'd go to the zoo to see a dodo. Wouldn't you?

Unless there's some remnant of Dodo DNA somewhere, it's not gonna happen.

But I'm excited about the possibility of bring back the woolly mammoth. We've found mammoth genetic material frozen in Siberia.

No, this animal went extinct for a reason. Have you ever watched Jurassic Park? Yes, i know it's sci-fi...but, it's an example of what happens when people intervene with nature!

Hi. Species are becoming extinct at the rate of greater than one every 20 minutes. I would be more concerned about slowing THAT trend.

Yes, but they feed on liberals, so they won't be bringing them back anytime soon.
