Yes, Dove soap can be used on your face without drying it out. It removes makeup just as good as any other soap. My mom keeps it in her shower so I use it there. If you want a really good facial bar that removes makeup well I would suggest Neutrogena. This soap takes my makeup off better than anything and costs about 2 bucks a bar.

Oh my goodness... Alright...well coming from someone with experience of using Dove bar soap on my face I think I can rightly say I know what I am talking about. I have very dry skin and the unscented, original Dove bar soap works really good. It does infact remove makeup, as most soaps that clean your skin do, contrary to what someone said about no soap removing make-up...yeah maybe if you apply it like frosting! Then only a jackhammer can take that off...

My mom has very oily skin. She uses the original bar and it works great on her skin. I have very dry skin and use the same bar and yes...it works great on my skin as well. It does not overdry it. Washing your face too much overdries your skin, it doesn't matter what product you use, but washing your face once or twice a day with Dove WILL NOT dry it out. It's perfectly fine. It's ph balanced and contains little to no chemicals, unlike Dial or any of the other bar soaps.

If you find that it is drying your face out too much...try washing less and try exfoliating your face. Don't blame the soap for something it's not doing, people.

Contrary to media (companies selling their special facial cleansers) any soap is fine for your face. Dove works well for makeup removal, especially with a nice warm washcloth. It can be a bit drying, just be sure to follow up with a good moisturizer.

Dont use the dove bar soap, its a gentle soap but not for your face. Try their face wash, it does a great job that removes makeup and they have different ones for different skin types.

Dove actually has its own facial care line out. you can buy it at walmart. As far as using the dove soap on your face, i dont know if i would because it is extremely moisturizing and if you have skin like me then it will be broke out in no time.

Yes, Dove can be used on the face and removes makeup well.

The standard formula is best for normal to dry skin.

The bar for sensitive skin is good for slightly oily/combination skin. It is the one I prefer.

yes, dove soap can be used on the face-- and it does remove makeup, but if you wear heavy makeup use a makeup remover first then dove- and rinse well, it can leave a residue.

I use regular soap on my face and it removes my makeup fine. It's a lot cheaper too!
