i just started a new band and im the bass/front man and the guitar player and i want to go for grunge sound and cove a song called "hey now" by Tantric.... but my drummer(who i was in a band with b 4 me and him quit together) wants to play some Valient thor sumin another.. im torn.. i like my drummer but i wanna play the grunge stuff... and we'll lose this awsome guitar player if we do what he wants... see but me and the guitar player have to play it.. and i have to sing it... i wanna sing sumin i like.. i do better when im into it... but i really do like all music so im down for n e thing.. but i just wanna be able to do what i want... so what do u think.. i mean what would u want to hear if u were from my area?

alright so this is the d/l we are only gonna cover one song... to kind choose which way were gonna go with the band... so its kinda aa pick of genre... its gonna be rock... not a huge fan of country.. neith r many ppl around here.. besides have u ever seen a good country music cover band.. all the ones i see suck... so im not gonna go for that sterotyped band thing..

Realy Start a Doo Wop band sing old songs from the late 50's and early 60's.

Why don't you play both songs? Unless bands only play one song nowadays, I recall when I was in a few bands we played over 150 songs (not in one night, of course)...there's got to be room for doing what everyone wants and keep the peace (which is the hardest thing to do in a band)?

Why don't you all talk it out? I'm sure some compromise can be met. Play some grunge and play a few of whatever it is your drummer likes.

sublime is fun to sing and they make me wanna learn to play the guitar because the songs sound like they'd be fun to play.

Crazy Town - Drowning! now if you did a cover of that i would pay to see it and it would be cool and you would be bring crazy town back to life with there rock sound :D hehe
