Okay, fine, the Cliff Notes version:
I went from being the golden boy in my teens and early twenties (world on a string and all that) to near rock-bottom. Managed to dig myself out of the hole, having many colorful and useful experiences along the way, and learning a lot.
Not only did I come out wiser, I ended up with a life and a career that I love.
It was rough at times, but I think that I am a richer person for it.
