Has anyone tried trigger point injections?

Has anyone tried trigger point injections? I broke my back in 8 places a few years ago and have chronic pain and my pain clinic specialist has recommended "Trigger point injections". Has anyone tried these and if so what has your experience been?

I have had them for chronic bursitis and degenerative back changes. They help for a few weeks but they are not a cure all. I think physiotherapy and antiinflammatories seem to be the most helpful. Good luck!
