I would admit it if I thought that the war on terror was the reason for the ceasing of attacks on US soil. I would be more willing to agree that the heightened security has had some affect, but that it is more likely that planning and executing attacks takes time and resources.
I do not believe that our war in Iraq is making any difference. The warin Afghanistan most probably had some severe disruptive affects on the Al-Qaeda network and this has caused logistical problems for them and hindered any further attempts.
However, Iraq is a waste of resources, men, and money and is having absolutely no affect on the war on terror.

I'm not completely certain Bush did all he could to help prevent 9/11...and i'm not completely certain Bush is doing all he can do to help prevent future attacks. He did throw us into a war...and after promising withdraw of the troops...he now is throwing MORE troops in. Why are we over there again? If we keep fighting the Iraqi battle for them...then how will they learn to take control of their own country? And it's not Bush keeping us safe...it's the men and women of America that are doing that. Sorry...no kudos to Bush.

When cons admit that Clinton kept us safe for nearly 8.
First World Trade Center bombing: February, 1993
Number of attacks on US soil between that attack and January 20, 2001: Zero
Time span without an attack: 7 years, 11 months.

You tell them...They can't admit it because that will be admitting that they haven't been using their own brains, just spouting off what they are told to say by celebrities. If the Dems get control of the White House, they will find out soon enough! Bush is the greatest President for standing his ground, not backing down, no matter what, just to keep his citizens safe!

If he's keeping us safe, we would have never been under attack. If he's keeping us safe, why are hundreds of Americans dying in his war? If he's keeping us safe, why are we still in the war? If he's keeping us safe, we'd already be out of this war. Yah Allah, these people are getting stupider and stupider. I pray for you all. Peace

Thank our President for his foresight and determination. Most of those sick Democrats would leave the stinkin muslins in our country to raise havoc and then make excuses for them. When they are that dumb that they want us to spend our hard earned tax paying dollars defending these butchers and have court trials for captured butchers it is hard to undersand. The only thing the koran is good for is toilet paper.

It was 8 years without an Islamist terrorist attack on US soil before 9/11. By your logic, that means Clinton was keeping you safe. Glad you agree with me.

You are corrrect. What the media doesn't tell you is
how many terrorist tries have been attempted but
foiled by regular smart citizens and our government,
and the patriot act. We still need to be able to use the
spying technique between Muslims and phone conver-
sations to Syria, Iran, and Iraq so we are abreast of
their dasterdly plans on bombing places in the U.S.
Forget your precious private phone conversations and
know phone taps work and it's all about terrorists. They
will keep trying to disrupt this country and we must keep
one step ahead of them so it doesn't happen. Amen?

I already know it. So I guess keeping the bad guys occupied in the middle east WAS a good idea.
Iran's President is also losing a lot of support in the Middle East over his Nuke issue. I wonder if that has anything to do with 150,000 American troops, and 3 Carrier Battle Groups being so close to them??? Hmmmmm.....Kind makes ya think huh?
