There is no reason why you can't paint it but you should pay it off before you do. If I were going to do that I would just trade it in and get a new car exactly like you want it.

You can not change the paint on the car until you pay the car of first. If you think about it. It does'nt make any sence to spend the money it would take to paint your car while making payments on it.

i dont think your loan has anything to do with this...it is your car so go ahead and paint it! now if you stop paying that loan, the only problem you'll definitely have is trying to make payments on top of interest that is added when you are late! so go ahead, and have fun with your car!

As long as it is not a lease vehicle, it belongs to the bank. You are just taking care of it for them. Just kidding!
If it is NOT a lease, it belongs to you (as long as you will keep up the payments). Please be sure to ask the body shop technicians BEFORE you spend the money. They know the market and could give you good advice.

I believe as long as you are current on your payments, you are free to do whatever you want. If you destroy the car and it's value, the loan company would not be too happy about that, but otherwise the car is your's to do as you please.
