I have not been to Egypt, but this appears to be a nice place to stay. It is called the Sharm Holiday Resort and was mentioned over and over on different sites. The details are at http://www.expedia.com/pub/agent.dll?qscr=dspv&itty=new&from=m&shtl=1&htid=1355760&crti=0&eapid=13290-1&kword=H1:Sharm%20Holiday%20Resort%20hotel%20overview&&zz=1169845197968&

I hope that you find a nice place to stay and enjoy yourself. It sounds like FUN!

If you want a bit of night life go to Sharm but be prepared to get pestered all the time with the local tradesmen in the markets. Be warned - do not get sucked into their shops - a firm but polite no usually works. If you want a quiet time try Taba Heights or an even quieter time Taba itself (only 2 hotels and no nightlife unless you fancy a camel or two)

Hurgarda is a lovely resort in Egypt but if you want fantastic hotels then you need to go to Taba Heights. There are direct flights to both from the UK and the accommodation at the moment is VERY reasonable.

Holiday brokers are doing accommodation from £14 per person per night!!!!

Sharm is great you may bump into Tony Blair the british prime minister and lots of italians, and you can also think about going on a nile cruise to Luxor and Aswan it's quite and charming, also Hurgada is great this time of the year with many germans and russians. Hope you love it.

fly to sharm el sheikh and stay at the hyatt regency. sharm may be touristy but when you get in the water you will discover what attracts people. the hyatt is great luxury and you can choose to go partying in naama bay if you want to otherwise chill in the hyatt.

They're all about the same.
The one thing you must do however, is to be near a hospital. If you don't get shot or blown up, you'll almost undoubtedly come down with food poisoning. Also, make sure you never carry any cash. Small change is best. Stay out of crowds and remember, they nearly all hate you if you're a westerner.
