The simple answer is it depends on what you want it to do. If you want high speed maths/gaming performance then go with the Intel CPU. If you want to do several things at the same time at a decent speed then go AMD.

yes AMD 64x2 is the biz never really liked intel chips okay for business applications but lousy for games.
