I have stopped taking my birth control about a year ago, and usually always use condoms. But, my boyfriend and i had unprotected sex on Jan 15th. but he did pull out because he came. Of course, that is one of the days that i should have been fertile according to an Ovulation Calendar. The only reason i am worried i am pregnant, is because i have had light dark brown spotting, light cramps, and have been VERY light headed and restless. I know it is really early for these symptoms, but of course i am worried!! I am due for my period the begining of February... do u think its too early to take a home pregnancy test?

For best results take the test on the first day of your missed period.
And yes, you could have symptoms this early.

If you do not chart or monitor your fertility in any way, and you think you may have conceived, you should wait 19 days (or longer) after having sex to test. Why 19?! Sperm can live approximately 5 days in the proper environment; if the sperm managed to live until you popped an egg, the actual conception could have taken place several days after the sex act that got the sperm there. To make sure you're not testing too early, assume the sperm had very long lives (5 days is considered a very long sperm life) and that conception occurred then. Then allow 14 days for the embryo to implant and develop enough hCG to show up on a pregnancy test (96% of pregnant women will test positive by then.)

The one time my boyfriend and I didn't use a condom, I went to planned parenthood the next day for the morning after pill. 34 weeks later, I'm expecting a baby boy at the beginning of march. I felt symptoms VERY early. They were pms symptoms with no period. I had to wait until I technically missed my period to take the test and you'll go crazy until then but it'll be a waste of money to take a test now. Just hold your breath and wait it out. That's all you can do for right now.

Good luck!

If you are worried go get a test, you'll have to wait a little while to take it.

Sounds like you are just having a stressful time, if so that may make your period even more late.

you should wait until you miss your period. It can be stress that is making you have the symptoms. And next time don't use the pull out method because it is not the safest way.

there is a pregnance test (cant remember what its called perhaps first response) it picked up my pregnancy 3 weeks before i was due for my period.
Id go to the drug store and ask the pharmasist what its called, or read all the cartons.
Good luck for whichever your hoping for.

Yea you're about a week early. Take it Feb 1st and find out for sure.. or go to your doc and get a blood test done, it's not to early for him/her to find out.

usually it is best to wait untill you are late for your period. But if you want to waste the money go ahead. Use your first urine of the day.
