Is the guaranteed admisssion to uic medical schoolprogram better than going to loyola for undergrad? Where can I get the best education and best preparation for a career in emergency medicine? Can anyone tell me about their experience at either school?

Definitely apply to Loyola Chicago, its a great school, especially for medicine. I heard UIC is really hard, i mean its easy to get accepted, but once you're there, its tough. My cousin goes to Loyola and he is studying medicine. He first went to UIC, but found it to be horrible, so he transferred to Loyola. He was in the GPPA program, but they only accept like 10-14 people out of 14,850 for the program. You need like a 36 on the ACT and a perfect GPA to get into the program. In loyola, all you need is a ACT of 26 and you qualify for a similiar program. So, UIC is a 'no-no'.

The UIC GPPA medicine program accepts about 35 students per year. The average ACT is about a 31, and the average rank is in the top 5%. For this program, you have to be an Illinois resident. Any guaranteed admissions program is better than a non-guaranteed program. Acceptances won't be out until March. They send you your acceptance in a regular business size envelope.
