MC Hammer - He got permission to sample the songs and wrote his own lyrics. MC also sold his CD's out of the trunk of his car before he got signed to a major label.
MC had a huge posse and went bankrupt because he tried to give everyone a job in his organization. MC focused on a positive message so lacking in rap and hip hop these days.
