I know that is is possible to get pregnant while on the pill. Has anyone had this happen? Did you skip a day on accident or what do you think raised your chances?

OK, I'm not pregnant, I was just asking. And it's scary that the first person mentioned Ortho, because that is what I take. And I'm not really religious so I take the pill because I do not want kids at the moment and a condom can break just as easy. I was just seeing what the chances would be if I take the pill and skip a day (of course taking 2 pills the next day).

I got pregnant while on the pill. I skipped a day or two when I first started taking them when I was 17 but I got into the habit of taking them every day at the same time and for about a little over a year I was perfect at taking them. After I graduated and got engaged I was still taking the pills perfectly and we were using condoms. I got pregnant still, now I have a beautiful 10 month old daughter. . Our daughter was definately meant to be!!!
Dont ask me how my birth control failed...LOL...Becuase I have no idea. None of our condoms broke, and they even had spermicide, and were a correct fit any everything! Maybe one of them had a teeny tiny break in it that we couldnt see, or some sperm came up the side and out of the top....Hmmmm....*ponders*......I love my daughter though and I wouldnt have it any other way.
But, also, being very fertile kinda runs in my family. My great great grandmother gave birth to 17 kids, and my mother gave birth to 8. Heck, she concieved me AFTER she had her tubes tied. Seriously weird!!

I took the pill for 5 years. Messed them up all the time and never once got pregnant. But skipping days and not making them will definately increase your chances.

are you asking that you are pregant while taking the pill? or are you asking that if you take the pill..can you still get pregant?
No this did not happen to me becuase i am aginst birth control pills. It is against the bible to do that...and if you dont want to get pregent..then use a condom becuase taking pills can mess up your period hormones, make ur period come either too soon or too late, and cuse alot of other bad effects.

My best friend got pregnant while on the pill due to some antibiotics she was taking conteracted the pill. And if you dont take it reguarly then yes you can. Its only 92-99.6% effective

I know someone who did... but she apparently didn't realize it and kept taking the pill. It caused a miscarriage.

statistics.... my wife has been on the pill since she was 17, when she met me, she's 42 now, we have two kids !
