My honda will start and run when i hold the key in the start postn. but stalls when in run pstn.?

i replaced the ignitoin coil yesterday and it seemed to fix it but the problem must be somewhere else in the ignition system

You hold the key in the start position when the engine is running?
Why not just pour metal filings in the crankcase and run it without oil too?
It has to be a bad ignition switch.
