Has anyone else had really really sore breast. It feels like my breast must weigh 5 lbs a peice and they hurt so bad.
I have tried the hot packs but that seems not to help. Anyone else know of any ways so I can at least wear a t shirt with out wanting to cry.

This will not last, i'm so sorry for your pain. Hormones in your body are preparing milk ducts to mature and make milk for when your baby is born. That drawing down, stabbing pain feeling along with being swollen and tender to the touch is as a result of this. They say a hot shower works, or hot clothes on yoru breasts, but I never felt it did any good. You can take a tylenol to help a little, that's safe to take while pregnant. Not everyone feels pain like this when their breasts are maturing... guess we're just a couple fo the lucky few. I'm 38w pregnant now and haven't had the pain since I was 30 weeks or so.

I would stop using hot packs it makes the milk produce more. (If you are not going to breast feed ) Use a tight bra or something that puts some pressure on your breast. It does hurt a little at first but it will stop after a little bit. Good Luck and Con grates

I had the same problem my first pregnancy. You can take tylenol, it is safe during pregnancy. Try not to sleep on your back, that was the worst for me. Sleep on your side, with a pillow between your breasts to support the "top" one, it'll prevent some discomfort. Otherwise, wait it out, if it goes on past your second trimester with the same degree of pain, see your doctor. My husband couldn't even look at mine without causing pain, lol. Also, wear a proper supporting bra, so they don't move around as much.

You may want to call your ob/gyn. You could actually have infection in your breast. Is red or swollen? Do you have a fever?

CABBAGE LEAVES REALLY WORK IF ANYTHING IS GOING TO BE EFFECTIVE BUT IT IS JUST YOUR BOOBS GETTING READY! YOU MAY START SEEING COLOSTRUM COME IN AND THAT MAY BE WHY THEY ARE SO SORE RIGHT NOW.

your breasts are sore because they are beginning to swell with milk!
