"sick"?

I charge $25 an hour, including my travel time to come out and repair a client's computer. If they bring it to me, then they don't pay travel time (of course). I'm pretty generous about it, though. I'll only bill maybe 2 hours to completely rebuild a PC even though it really takes 4-5 because a lot of that time is just standing around and waiting for software to install.

Most computer techs charge between $30-$50 an hour.

Depending on what is wrong, you could easily end up spending more money fixing the computer than just replacing it.

If there are specific symptoms, list them on here, and you can usually get answers (though not all of them are accurate) as to how to fix it. Over 50% of PC problems are software (mainly O/S) related.

Paying someone a bunch of money to sit there and reload your computer, when you could easily do it yourself is a waste.

Super reasonable and it depends on how much time is required. What's the problem? Maybe I can help you fix it ?
