No gun ever loaded itself, aimed itself at a person and then pulled its own trigger. It requires a person to do that. A gun is an inanimate object and cannot, of its own violations decide to kill someone. That requires a conscious decision by a human being.
Why not ask the question do cars kill people of do people kill people? Nobody tries to hold the cars as being responsible like they do guns. Yet cars kill a lot more people than guns do.

People Kill people. People let kids get ahold of guns and that's where the problem begins. We had guns in our house the entire time we grew up and never once shot ourselves or one another. They were not hidden either, where we were wondering what they looked like or how to use them. Our parents taught us that they were not toys and always loaded. As far as grown people killing with guns that's just the state of the world today. If we didn't have guns we would find something else to use I am sure of that! Sad but true!

People kill people, but often people won't kill people unless they have an easy way to perform the killing, and if they are angry and and have a gun handy hey! easy kill. my theory is that people are too lazy to kill everyone that they actually want to kill, but with the invention of the gun you don't have to actually go and hack someone to pieces, you can just sit back and pull a few pounds with a finger.
Guns don't kill people, they are merely a tool, if i had a gun and no desire to kill you, you would not die, if i had a shovel and a desire for you to die? well i could also bury you with the same tool i just killed you with. You see, if i was pissed off at you and had no weapon, i would probably beat you but not kill you, with a gun it doesn't take that much, you literally hold someones life on your fingertip.
Mcdonalds kills people, hail satan.

It's all semantics, hair splitting and nitpicking. Guns kill. They are a device made for nothing BUT killing. The fact that they only kill when operated by a person is beside the point.
If you own a gun, you're a destroyer. Plain and simple.
