Because they're all bandwagon fans that pull for only 3 or 4 teams in the entire league. Oh, I forgot. With no salary cap, there has only been 3 teams that have ever been good in the league. I must say the EPL is a little more competitve than other leagues though.

Not to mention they have a league where 9 out of 10 of the good players are not even English. They need to swich the name of their league so that it best suits reality because reality is that that league is full of foreigners, way more than all other leagues.

It should be more like the Premier League of England or England Premier League, because the English Premier League only makes people think that mainly English people play in the league.

Anybody care to disagree? You know I speak the truth about the Foreign Premiership of England.

Hey, you ain't seen nothing. My Dad tells me it was the 70's that was the worst and it was the Scots. Before booze was banned from designated Scottish Grounds in 1981 it was pure dead mental, apparently. You'd have 40, 50 or 60 bus loads of Gers and Celtic fans going all over Ecosse' to away matches, all tanked up on asti spumanti and Guinness. When the left the grounds after the match the terraces were dead covered with empties. Outside the grounds they'd fight each other, rival fans and the police. Those were the days my friend. Today the fans are pure pussycats and I hate them!

I've been attending English football matches for over 40 years, and seen very little trouble. I've only been to the opera once; and there was a fight. (don't believe me ? please check with the Royal Albert Hall, Feb 2000, after a performance of M. Butterfly)
You need to understand something: this is a class issue. The media love to attack blue-collar English males, and what better way than through their favourite sport. Football's biggest problem is not hooliganism, it's the disgraceful treatment of supporters who visit 'away' games. Those who follow the England team abroard are sometimes subjected to extreme brutality by local thugs, many of whom are wearing blue uniforms ! The attitude of our politicians is to, in effect, shrug their shoulders and say, "oh well, they must have done something to deserve it". Again; don't take my word for it; just go to an England game abroard and observe. Then you can apologise for your bigotry which, let's face it, is the moral equivalant of racism !

Simply not true if you look at the reputation for some South American fans - many deaths after poor results, referees shot, players stabbed etc. Now say the English supporters are bad!

english fans are not the worst ever....(see above) as we grow up we are taught to stand our ground and fight, no matter wot the odds are, win or lose....if u ever actually take a look at the tv pictures properly who are generally the first troublemakers....yes, its not the english is it....who starts the throwing of chairs, stones etc then runs away...again, not english fans is it....it then looks worse as an angry mob in regimental like fashion go charging through the streets to catch the original perpetrators who have wronged them in the 1st place....also, the authorities dont help, go back to world cup 1998 in france....england v tunisia...where was it played....marseille....wot is marseille, only the biggest seaport on the french south coast with a massive over the average population of north africans...the result of a mass brawl was inevitable...the day us english dont stick up for ourselves in any walk of life then the sadder & more oppressed we will become....

It's not that we are worse than any other country in europe (i'm english) it's just that it gets in the press. I refuse to go to any football game where i live in Holland because you have to run for your life after the game. but it's never gets in the media here as they think it's bad news they won't report it.

Take a look at the amount of people that watch "Soaps" on TV, for instance - we're a Nation of Gossips, sadly!!
