It's called "Pop" in Western PA too - but I've been all over the country and MOST places have no idea what I'm talkin' about - have to say "Soda" which as you know to us means "Club" Soda

Pop is Coke or Pepsi....my friend from Florida laughs at me.
Soda is Soda water.
I have heard in some places they just say "gimme a Coke"
even if they mean Pepsi...
Do you sit on the stoop or on the step?
Do you do the warsh or wash or laundry
How bout the davenport or sofa
or icebox vs fridge (mostly people in their 70's say this)

Well I have lived in WI and I think from what I remember they call it either pop or soda pop. I live in NJ now and it is soda here. Just like it isnt tennis shoes or tennies it is sneakers.

I'm from Philly and we call it soda pop doesn't said rite. Tha first time i heard someone call soda pop I looked at them like they was krazy. I guess y'all call sneakers tennis shoes too.

I think all Midwestern states call it pop. That is what I call it, but I have also heard it called pop when I was on the West coast as well.

when I was little my friends grandma asked us Yens wants some pop? I had no idea what she was talking about. We ask that question by saying Yall want some coke. I laughed so hard cuz I thought she was crazy. She is from PA and I am from VA
