Montana. He has the rings. Young only has the ring.

Steve Young was much better than Montana. Also I believe Steve is in the Hall of Fame too... check your facts. If you had Montana vs Young in their prime, Steve would runaway from Montana just like he did to defenders.

Easily Joe Montana. Not speaking of awards, joe montana is in the top five quarterbacks of all time. Young would be lucky to be considered better then Brett Favre or John Elway.

Montana only due to his 4 Super Bowl rings. Cannot discredrit that at all.

Give Young credit for being the Vick of his time and actually being able to throw the ball quite well. I do believe he has the career QB rating record and that is quite an accomplishment.

Montana won his first Super Bowl before Jerry Rice, Roger Craig and John Taylor were even 49ers. So I'll go with him.

Montana. And if Manning gets ring this year, he kicks Young out of my top 5 qb's of all time.

It really comes down to super bowl victories. Both were great but Montana has to get the edge.

ummmm, young didn't sniff the field until montana left the 49ers...that would suggest that both i and bill walsh thought montana was better than young.
