No, the main problem is that the White Witch has taken over Narnia, the four children have been summoned from the other world to restore Narnia to freedom, but one of them betrays the others and has to be rescued first.
The problem is resolved when Aslan voluntarily gives his life to save the traitor (and therefore the whole world) from the Witch; this evokes the Deep Magic, which resurrects Aslan and results in the defeat of the White Witch.

They defeat the White Witch and rule Narnia. Then, when they're all grown up, they are out riding horses and they see an white stag. They follow the white stag to the lamp post. Lucy remembers the wardrobe and she goes into the pine trees and the others follow. They end up on the other side of the wardrobe as kids again.

The main problem is that the Land of Narnia has been corrupted by evil and needs redemption.

The problem is resolved by Aslan sacrificing himself, thus defeating evil.

They can get out at any time, they just have to find their way back to the wardrobe.

I can't remember which one, but one of the books in the series has the kids stay until they are grown up - and then one day they are out hunting, and stumble across the doorway back to our world - they come out of the wardrobe, and are reverted back to the same age as when they went in. They had forgotten all about our world - that was probably one of the neatest concepts in those books.

Well if memory serves - they spent many years on the throne at Cair Paravel and then were hunting one day - following the White Stag and somehow stumbled back through the wardrobe. Ta Da Back home they were.
