Well, I don't need to be in a relationship to be happy if that's what you mean.
And I have been in unhappy relationships (you can't fix somebody else, and a good relationship takes two healthy partners who are willing to work on it and understand that nobody's perfect all the time).
I think I would be happier in a healthy relationship. Just can't seem to close that deal--smile.

I am not a guy but I have heard some talk about staying happy by
doing their own thing . and being their own boss and not having any one telling them what to do.
I feel it is not true because they are not happy being single but they will not admit it.
some guys need true relationship with one woman. some need a lot of women to be happy.
if you are not happy find some one who will make you happy.
and have a true relationship..
and if you do have someone you love . get it together and be happy and not single..

I'm happier than I was the last few years of my marriage.
I am dating now, but that isn't what makes me happy.
I'm happy that I've become a better person, even from the pain of the divorce.
