It in no way even by its owner and most fans resembles a sport. For those of us who actually love the sport of wrestling it is very annoying every time you hear someone talk about wrestling (on tv, radio, newspaper, internet) there talking about the fake stuff. I am not cutting it down but can't it be put in another catigory so that the two of them can be distiguishable from the other.

There are no known sports out there where the outcome is already known. That is the reason it is called a sport. What they do is not a sport, it is entertainment, as called by its makers. So therefore it is not even born to be considered a sport.

It should definitely be under the entertainment category. But the WWE owners and "wrestlers" don't consider what the do a sport, they call it Sports Entertainment. Because it's basically a show.

Well what defines a sport? The most accepted answer is an activity that is physically demanding and two people or teams competeing against eachother. Doesn't wrestling have both of those elements? WWE and other affiliates is very physically demanding and very dangerous. Example of Joey Mercury getting smashes in the face with a ladder, getting hurt for real, not fake. And if you're going to use the argument that it's not a sport because the outcome is pre-determined, then you might as well call baseball not a sport. In 1919, the Chicago White Sox were paid to throw the World Series. So that was pre-determined, so baseball is now not a sport based on the idea that a sport can't have a pre-determined outcome.

When you hit a ball with a raquet and physically run back and forth, or hit a volleyball over a net, or even at that, get into a car and race in a circle over and over, it's called a sport, whether the outcomes are already known, the still physically move around more than all the sports listed above, if you don't like it, then go somewhere else and don't worry about it. People like you annoy us just as much as we annoy you, so the feeling is mutual.

It is called Sports Entertainment. It is show with incredible actors that put on show that amazes you. A lot of people say it is fake. I don't understand why thought. You can't jump 50 feet in the air to the ground and fake it. That is why the are trained so they don't kill themselves.

i agree totally...it s u c k s when all you hear is people talking about people being fake...i just wish that everyone that says this should try to wrestle then they will see how much wrestling is not fake...they need to try it...(trust me) i know
