My daughter is the victim in a burn book, The kids that made the book asked her for her photo to put in the book. What is wrong with kids that they have to be so incredibly mean? The school has contacted us to tell us that they do not really believe that there is a book. Do they really think that kids would say yes there is a book do you want to see it? How would you deal with this in your home?

did ur child just recently see mean girls the movie? i have never heard of kids actually making one of those, but if she was a victim, u should talk to her and explain that some kids are jsut gonna be mean its the way they are, and its best to ignore them because all they want is attention and if they dont get it, they will stop. anyway. if there isnt a book at all then those kids are just trying to scare ur daughter and like i said, she needs to ignore them.

First of all the school is stupid. If there is harassment going on it needs to be addressed. you need to call the school and Demand that the other girls involved apologize and produce the book if possible. If it is a book degrading other students of course those girls are going to say it doesn't exist. Remind them of schools where shootings occurred due to extreme teasing and hazing of students. Kids are mean and schools need to own up to it and so something about it instead of turning a blind eye. If the schoo I send my daughter to ever tries to tell me kids will be kids they will have another thing coming.

Do what Wings tells you----don't let it rest. I know first hand what bullying feels like when I went to school, and it isn't hard to ignore. School is a good portion of her life right now---8 hours a day, 5 days a week. She deserves to feel safe and comfortable in her environment.

Make them take a proactive stance on this issue. It is partially their duty to teach the kids good citizenship.

Honestly, i've made quite a few burn books, and while i'm not proud of it, i'm still at the "top of the food chain" at school. I can say from experience that people will stop at nothing to get to the top, and it just has to stop.
