Cookies are simply small information packets placed on your computer when you browse websites. Not all websites have these, but many do. Websites use cookies so they can track what you are viewing, and although they won't necessarily know you by name, the website will recognize your computer when you come back to visit again. Although in some cases they are useful, most of the time they are used in tracing your browsing habits for advertising purposes. Cookies alone can not read your hard drive for information such as, "who you are", "what your income is", or "where you live". But if you input that information on a website that uses cookies, that information could well be stored in that particular cookie.

If you delete all of your cookies, none of the websites will remember the individual user settings that you made on that page. You will probably have to re-enter all of your login info and passwords and possibly select the language you want to view the website in when you visit the site again for the first time.

Cookies can be perfectly harmless, but sometimes they can be used by companies to track what websites you visit, even more harmful variations are data miners, that extract info from your computer or from things you type and send them back to someone who then tries to hack into your accounts.

It would be a good idea to run adaware on your computer, you can get it for free on http://www.download.com it is a clean program that gets rid of spyware and harmful cookies. That way you don't have to delete all of your cookies, so your favorite websites remember you.

Maybe you should stop looking at gay stuff and you wouldn’t have this problem. What are you hoping to gain from all that abuse on the Gay/Lesbian section? If you’re rude to people they’re just going to be rude back. I’ve also been guilty of replying to some of your comments in a mocking way, partly me being hurt and partly me giving you something to think about.

If you’re ever going to find any kind of happiness and contentment in this life you’re going to have to deal with your problems. You don’t have to like guys who camp it up, gay bars and everything that’s seedy and vulgar about the gay world (I also hate all that stuff). You don’t have to sleep around, I don’t (been in a relationship for 15 years). You’ve said that all gays are perverts, child molesters and evil etc. The reason you say all these things is because you want gays to be as abusive and nasty as possible back to you. You think if that happens you can hate them even more. The more you hate them, the more you’ll be less like them. Sorry mate, it just doesn’t work that way. There’s no human walking this planet who would more want to be straight than me (it just isn’t going to happen). God makes people certain ways for a reason. He’s made you and I this way so we can learn companion and love for every human (not just selected groups). You also know that bible stuff you say is rubbish. Jesus didn’t say a word about gays and all the stuff in the Old Testament is pathetic and you know it. Look at all the other abominations, they’re laughable and that’s why no one follows them (Christians included). I believe in god, so I don’t hate anyone. God loves everyone no matter how much hate they have in their heart. You’ll never be alone in your pain and I’ll never hate you no matter how abusive you get on this site. I’m gay, I am a nice person and God loves me.

no longer lots! Cookies are like an digital receipt of sites which you have visited, so once you come back to those sites, links which you clicked on are nonetheless highlighted as seen. Settings like that are saved in cookies. in case you do away with them, those 'remembered' settings are long gone. Your pc will then create new ones once you flow to extra web content.

It is advisable to delete cookies, because it free up space in your PC, and leave no Internet trace to your PC on your past activities on line. It is recommended you delete them daily.

If you delete all your cookies.. you'll lose all your saved pages (in the history bar)..
You'll lose all logins (eg: forums) so you'd have to sign in.
And other things like website settings.. the list goes on.

But it's very much safe :)

Flux.

Then anyone who put those nasty tracking cookies on your computer is going to dislike you a lot. In addition, some screens could take a bit longer to load until they get NEW cookies on them.
