cubed root of (x^6 y^9) is found by dividing the exponents by 3
= x^2 y^3

sixth root of (x^6 y^18) is found by dividing the exponents by 6
= xy^3

You now have
(x^2 y^3)(xy^3) / sqrt(xy)
x^3 y^6 / sqrt(xy)
Multiply the top and bottom by sqrt(xy)
= x^3 y^6 sqrt(xy) / (xy)
Cancel the xy on bottom (you subtract one from the exponent of x and y)
= x^2 y^5 sqrt(xy)
