They can start with themselves by teaching themselves the racial sterotypes and racial biases and not buying in to them. They can learn to love people no matter where they come from and they can help to influence their friends to see things the same way. The only way the world will change is if it starts with the young people. Older people unfortunately are harder to change. Younger people have the power to change the way every one views the world. They can help combat violence by teaching themselves and their peers that gangs are not cool, that it is not cool to have guns, ext.

I was struck by your use of the verb "combat" in connection to your desire to prevent violence. I wonder if there is not some combative drive in humans that leads them to desire to fight. If that is the case, would violence to end violence work?

I don't know of any groups but I'm sure there are many.
I think it would help if people took the time to see things from someone else's view.
