Hot water with some honey and lemon to taste and if it is really sore then dissolve soluble aspirin (if you are ooder than 12) and gargle with it before swallowing it! Keep your throat hydrated and hot drinks are more soothing
Hope you feel better soon

Try gargling with salt water.
Use some OTC pain reliever or throat spray.
If nothing helps or it lasts more than a couple days, see a doctor. It could be strep, which can have serious complications. It can be treated with antibiotics.

Drink tea with honey in it to soothe it. Also, use Chloraseptic, it's a throat numbing spray. To help it heal, make sure you gargle with salt water every morning and night.

Gargle with warm salt water...you can find the proportions on loads of websites. It's nasty but it really does help, both with the pain and the cause of pain.
