I brought this 4th Generation, 20G Ipod off Ebay. I turned it on when it arrived and it lite up put wouldn't move between options. Don't know if "hold" switch was on or not. I then turned it off and plugged it into the charger and let it charge for half an hour. When I tried to turn it on again it was unresponsive and is still dead. Switched the hold switch both directions and makes no differnece. Ebay seller says that he charged it before he sent it and it worked fine. Any ideas?

Ebay is guranteeing things that been sold on it's website. Put a complaint form in www.ebay.com
go under forms and file it with them and see what they cando for you. Nevertheless, I also had that problem, but I purchased the warranty that came with it for two years. When I couldn't get my going, they mailed me the shipping stuff, and I shipped it off to Apple. here, they just returned and replaced my Ipod with a new one.
So if you have purchased warranty with it, you could go that way. But if you have not gone this way, than try
pushing and holding down the middle of the click wheel and up arrow together for about 5 seconds. It should go on, if not I do not know what else is avaiable for you.Good luck!

You might want to consult who you bought it from. When buying items off the internet you have no idea of knowing what the seller did to it.
