Many people think so and have told me. i don't think wearing "glasses" makes you smarter at all!I hate hte steriotype!

We have to wear glasses its not like WE WANT TO WEAR GLASSES.

Obviously common sence will tell people that glasses don't make you smarter (if they think they do than they need help). Just pick out some stylish glasses that look good on you and there's no reason the 'nerd' stereotype should be attached. Usually that's saved for people that choose glasses that look strange on them and they act strange. Glasses alone don't make a nerd. (No, I don't wear glasses but I have many friends that do and they are far from nerds.)

Stereotypes hurt everyone. If a person wants to 'look' smarter then they should 'act' smarter.

Fake glasses are absurd. I wear glasses for farsightedness and astigmatism, and my eye sight is getting worse. I do not have a problem with wearing glasses. People who wear fake glasses are mocking a medical problem. It is just like people who wake braces or make stupid fake ones, I have braces and I do hate them. Someone who wears fake glasses who then want to have crouches, which I had, or a wheel chair. Everyone who wears fake glasses should stop now. I sometimes have to restrain myself from taking the off and smashing them on the ground.

No, wearing glasses is a necessity. I wear them and I don't think I am a nerd. It's how you act not how you look. Plus, being a nerd is not a bad thing. A geek, yes. But being a nerd is a good thing. Nerds rule the world!!! So, glasses dont indicate nerdness. But, if you are one, don't give a ****. Being a nerd is better than being a stupid useless person...

Glasses are actually sometimes very fashionable. They do not in any way make you smarter, and sometimes people do like the "geek" look - to make them LOOK smarter...when in reality they aren't. Glasses seem to give a look of "educated" for some reason. We, as a society, have a mentality toward glasses - that they signal intelligence.

Wearing glasses is much better than bumping into things! Kids are SO mean! Of course you aren't nerdy. You wear them to see, not to look smarter. If they couldn't pick on your glasses it would be your weight or your hair or something. It is just what some kids do. Hang in there...at least you can see them!
