I think he is a fantastic reporter who lets the public know what the government is hiding.

I think he is a hypocrite. He opposes gun ownership, but lives in a high-rise apartment with security. He believes the rich should pay more taxes, but isn't volunteering to pay them (you can always give the government more money than you have to). He cites incorrect sources and intentionally alters his film to misrepresent the truth (such as in Bowling for Columbine when he got a gun at the bank).

While I strongly disagree with his politics I think he is funny. Maybe not in a Ha Ha way but funny interesting.
